Abstract
The Global Alliance for TB Drug Development (TB Alliance) and its partners have begum testing an experimental drug—PA-824. “[The drug's] excellent profile means its introduction into a new regimen could help shorten treatment time dramatically and overcome some of the challenges with tuberculosis treatment, such as multidrug resistance and the treatment of tuberculosis/HIV co-infected patients”, Mel Spigelman of the TB Alliance explained.
