Abstract
In this blog, I will test the search, navigation, and text mining tools created by the KITAB team which make it possible to extract information from vast corpora such as the OpenITI corpus, on a select number of Shiʿi hadith works. I will choose the Kitab Daʿaʾim al-Islam (The Pillars of Islam), the important compendium of legal hadith by al-Qadi al-Nuʿman, as an example. I will be mainly dealing with a KITAB visualisation application which visualises alignments between two texts detected by passim algorithm (it is not yet publicly available).
