Abstract
This chapter discusses creating a classroom atmosphere sensitive to cultural differences from the educational leadership and management perspective. It starts with the rationale and importance of creating a classroom that is sensitive to cultural differences. It is essential to provide 21st-century classrooms with a welcoming and culturally inclusive learning environment that recognises and values the diverse cultural backgrounds of students, educational leaders, and managers. The chapter investigates classroom design and organisational structures and frameworks that support cultural responsiveness. It highlights the importance of educational leadership in fostering an atmosphere where educators and students are able to appreciate ethnic, lingual, and cultural diversity. In order to highlight the crucial role that educational managers and leaders may play in creating culturally responsive classrooms, the chapter highlights their connections to school culture, community engagement, curriculum design, assessment, ongoing evaluation, and accountability.
