Description
This semiannual newsletter (Volume 3) from the Centre of Excellence for Trauma and Emergencies (CETE) at Aga Khan University highlights the Centre’s milestones and initiatives in 2024. It features messages from CETE’s leadership, updates on the Pakistan Life Savers Programme (PLSP), new partnerships, climate change advocacy, and community-based disaster preparedness. The issue also showcases CETE’s groundbreaking research projects, including the Trauma Registry, CONNECT-HTN, FEAMER telemedicine trial, Equi-Injury, iRise, and the EMS Data System. Special features include curriculum integration of life-saving skills in Sindh textbooks, the landmark #CPRUnitedPakistan event training 6,000 students simultaneously, and capacity-building programs for Lady Health Workers and emergency leaders. With over 400,000 individuals trained in CPR and bleeding control, CETE continues to expand its impact in strengthening health systems, advancing emergency response, and advocating for climate resilience in Pakistan and beyond.
