Abstract
The vision for Pakistani nursing is a reshaping of society's attitude, which means a fundamental change that requires a conceptual framework and a collective effort of nursing leaders. In Pakistan nursing has not been recognized as a professional occupation and, in fact, is viewed as a menial occupation, as in other Muslim societies. To influence change within this system, nurses need to improve their knowledge and enhance communication. This article discusses the change going on in Pakistani nursing and analyses it through Lewin's theory of change.
