Description
This publication documents the proceedings of a panel discussion held on 1st July 1986 in Calcutta between the Ladies Study Group (LSG) and the then Prime Minister of India, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. The discussion centered on women’s empowerment, legal reform, education, and national integration. It includes a welcome address by Mrs. Rakhi Sarkar, President of LSG, a list of prominent panelists from various fields, questions posed to the Prime Minister, and his responses. Also included are highlights from the LSG’s 1989 Delegation to Pakistan and details on award presentations to prominent women achievers.
