Introduction:

The workshop is targeted to create awareness about diabetes among health care professionals which includes nurses, general/family practitioners who treats diabetes or involved in the care of the patients suffering from diabetes (Both inpatient and outpatient). It will give a review of oral ant diabetics (both conventional and new drugs) insulin therapy and new medications.

Objectives:

At the end of the workshop participants should know:

• The different treatment modalities for the management of diabetes.
• Role of Diet and lifestyle in Diabetes treatment
• When and how to start insulin therapy in patients with diabetes
