Tobacco is the leading preventable cause of death. Medical school curriculum currently does not train health professionals on smoking cessation.

Objectives:

At the end of workshop the participants should be able to know:

  • How serious is the issue of Tobacco in Pakistan?
  • Factors that lead to tobacco addiction
  • How to control Tobacco Epidemic in Pakistan?
  • How to motivate a smoker to quit tobacco use?
  • How to respond to smokers questions?
  • What pharmacotherapy is helpful in making people quit smoking
