Abstract
Minimal access surgery (MAS) has become an essential skill in contemporary gynaecological surgical practice. This survey was carried out to assess the current state of basic laparoscopic surgical training in a District Hospital setting. Potential areas of improvement were identified for increasing trainees' experience. It is hoped that this survey, albeit in a single unit, may reflect experiences in other units and thus encourage further discussion and analysis in this important component of training.
