Abstract
Overview
This workshop aims at providing hands-on practice to medical students on how they can improve their study skills by using techniques suitable for declarative and procedural knowledge (i.e. knows and knows how). it helps them understand how to deal with different types of information in different ways, to manage time and to keep themselves motivated.
Objectives
- Define learning
- Differentiate between factual and process information
- Use learning techniques suited to the type of information to be learnt
- Discuss ways of optimizing time usage
