Rationalizing the content and cost of Dental education

Location

Auditorium Pond Side

Start Date

27-1-2013 8:30 AM

Abstract

The provision and pursuit of undergraduate dental education in both the public and private sector institutions is becoming unaffordable, because of the ever-rising costs involved and the irrational training content and its evaluation. These have been realized as burning issues by the administrators of dental institutions and by both the prospective and already enrolled students. Reasons for these and the adoption of strategies necessary to rationalize the cost and content of dental education without compromising the aims, objectives and hence the dental education and training quality are suggested in this presentation.
