Abstract
In healthcare settings, senior level leadership across the globe is facing a challenge to develop and manage IT strategies to support eLearning. The pressures of rapidly changing technology, decreasing funds, increasing demands of the learners and professional development needs of the faculty members have challenged the leaders to think strategically about resource planning and management.
The workshop will offer the participants an opportunity to connect with peers and engage with an expert in IT strategy and management in higher education to understand the role of strategic IT leadership in healthcare professions’ education.
Objectives
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to
- Gain an insight on the wide range of forces that impact the institutional IT strategy for eLearning
- Make sense of unpredicted demands in terms of history of IT funding within higher education
- Develop strategies to integrate eLearning into existing programs
