An integrative review of literature on work environment, engagement, and organizational commitment among nurses

Introduction: Work environment and engagement has great importance regarding organizational commitment. Now day's nurses are stressed and burdened due to poor working environment and less engagement. The purpose of the study is to see the relationship between work environment engagement and organizational commitment among nurses.
Material and Methods: This literature review study was conducted through different sources such as online database, Pubmed, MEDLINE and Google Scholar in the month of December 2016. The key words sued for search are work Environment, engagement, and organizational commitment. Only those studies were selected that were published during the period of 2008-2016, and had published in English.
Results: Results of this research reveal the signiicant positive relationship between work environment and nurse's organizational commitment or between engagement and nurse's organizational commitment.
Conclusion: By providing pleasant working environment, nurses work with their full heart and show more commitment towards an organization. Thus the employee engagement level increase and accept all the organizational challenges in a positive way to full ill all the organizational goals.
