Cytological diagnosis of cryptococcosis in a biliary specimen: Report of a rare case with brief review of literature

Abstract

Cytologic diagnosis of cryptococcosis with initial presentation as hepatobiliary dysfunction has been reported in only one case in the existing literature. We describe the clinical, radiological and cytological features of a HIV‐positive patient with disseminated cryptococcosis presenting with hepatobiliary involvement.
