Abstract
Psychiatric disorders (PDs) are very frequent in neurological illnesses. Depression, anxiety and cognitive impairment are frequently seen in many neurological disorders such as stroke, Parkinson disease (PD), epilepsy and multiple sclerosis (MS). In addition, hallucinations, delusions, obsessive-compulsive disorder, sleep disorders, Impulse control disorders (ICDs), somatization, bipolar disorder, behavior problems and psychological problem are also seen. Depression in stroke and epilepsy has bidirectional relationship. Lesion location affects both frequency and severity of depression in stroke patients.
